Although shoe designer Donald J Pliner sold his Star Island home and moved to Los Angeles, the designer is heading back to Miami in the form of Coming Home, a gallery of home furnishings, unique objects and art designed and curated by himself and his wife, fellow designer Lisa Pliner. The gallery, opening on Nov. 2 in Wynwood at 29 NW 24th St., will feature “carefully selected objects and home furnishings collected during or inspired by their two decades of world travels.” The Pliners will also use the gallery space for a series of dynamic cultural programming events to support their favorite causes and fellow artists from both the Miami area and from around the world.
