Ashlee Simpson files for divorce

Ashlee Simpson wants to drop the Wentz.

Citing “irreconcilable differences,’’ the singer filed for divorce from Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz in an L.A. court, TMZ reports.

Simpson, 26, wed the rocker, 31, in May 2008. Their son Bronx is 2.

Last fall, the two separated briefly amid cheating rumors. And before they wed, a fan came forward saying Pete had asked her to model for the rocker’s clothing line, Clandestine Industries, and they exchanged intimate e-mails.

Trouble already?

Three months after their over-the-top wedding in India, Katy Perry and Russell Brand may be hitting a bump. Maybe it’s because the stars only knew each other less than a year before getting hitched.

Life & Style reports that last month, Perry started asking around for the name of a good marriage counselor.

Or could it be a geography issue? Brand, 35, is based in LA and NYC, shooting the Arthur remake and the Hot N Cold singer, 26, launches her 95-date, 10 month international California Dreams tour Feb. 20.

Down the drain

Another couple has hit a sour patch – really sour. Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams wants a divorce from retired NBA player Eric Williams. Their union lasted a whopping three years. The alleged reason: Cheating, on his part. There is also talk of a love child.

She told Essence last year that roving eyes are an age-old problem: “Most of the wives that I know can only trust their husband as far as they can see them.’’

Klepto korner

The woman who sued Lindsay Lohan for allegedly stealing her $12,000 fur coat in 2008 claims she won’t help officials put Lindsay behind bars, reports TMZ.

Masha Markova settled with Lohan after the actress waltzed out of a NYC nightclub wearing her mink. The starlet was later photographed in the thing.

The Machete star was due to be arraigned Wednesday on a felony grand theft charge over a $2,500 necklace reported stolen by an upscale jewelry store. Surveillance video caught her walking out with it.

La Lohan is also being sued Tanning Vegas, which claims that she has an outstanding bill of $41,000 for browning sessions. This is the same company that tried to sue her in 2009 claiming she used their formula to start her own tanning line.

I’m fine, really

Don’t cry for Jennifer Aniston. The actress, who turns 42 Thursday, wants to assure fans that she is in a good place and definitely not a spinster.

“I think people honestly just want to see me as a mom and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen,’’ she told People. “And I just want to say, ‘Everybody, relax! It’s going to happen.’ ”
