Annie stars Quvenzhane Wallis, Cameron Diaz, Bobby Cannavale and Jamie Foxx attended the Annie Walk of Fame ceremony at Bayside Marketplace on Tuesday.
Cannavale, who grew up in Margate and still has family in Coconut Creek, was inducted into the so called Miami Walk of Fame — a not-for-profit corporation supporting the arts.
Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado also presented the movie’s director Will Gluck with a proclamation designating Dec. 9, as “Annie Day.” in Miami. The ceremony kicked off a month of helping out foster kids and inner schools.
Attendees listened to the angelic voices of the Miami Children’s Chorus singing such classics from the movie as “Tomorrow,” and “It’s a Hard Knock Life.”
The cast later traveled to Miami Beach to meet with reporters at the Soho Beach House to chat about the modern remake that opens Dec. 19.
