Andy Cohen talks to people for a living as host of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, but after an “intense” multi-city tour for his new book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year, he was understandably a tad fatigued. Cohen was the guest of honor for a Gilt City party at Villa Azur restaurant-lounge in Miami Beach, where attendees paid $50 a pop to receive a signed copy of the book, sip on prosecco and interact in a Q&A. Before the chat with fans, Cohen sat down with a few local reporters and couldn’t help but sneak out a yawn or two. He’d been up earlier in the day for a 10 a.m. Miami Book Fair International appearance.
And afterward, the New York resident was spotted lounging with friends and taking selfies with guests at the Delano Beach Club. “Today went really well. Everyone was super nice,” Cohen said. “I love Miami. I love coming here and staying at a great hotel and being waited on. But yes, I’m tired. I’ve been traveling nonstop. It’s all fun, though.” More fun: Cohen got a chance to interact with a few former employees — Real Housewives of Miami costars, Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Lea Black and Adriana De Moura, who was joined by her husband and sporting a hat due to recent skin cancer surgery on her forehead.
Both Joanna Krupa, who lives most of the year in L.A. and Lisa Hochstein were nowhere to be found. A quick scan of Lisa’s Facebook page placed the model (who now fronts a wellness website) in the United Arab Emirates for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. One intrepid crowdmember at Villa Azur asked if RHOM would ever be resurrected. “Never say never,” said Cohen, who had perked up at this point. “And I never do!”
