Labor Day represents a time for American workers to take a day off, relax with family, and take pride in the fact that their jobs are helping strengthen the national economy. And that’s all well and good. But judging from the influx of superstar DJs descending upon South Florida, it’s also just another excuse to party! Here are some of the weekend’s most smashing shindigs:

THURSDAY, AUG. 28

Nervo at LIV Nightclub
Aussie DJ twins Miriam and Olivia Nervo (Mim and Liv to their mum) started off as fashion models, but their true passion was always music. Good choice: They quickly showed the world they were more than just pretty faces when they won a Grammy for co-writing and producing David Guetta’s hit, “When Love Takes Over,” featuring Kelly Rowland. Now, the sisters work with stars including Afrojack and R3hab, and headline festivals all over the world, including Ultra Music Festival during the Winter Music Conference.
11 p.m.-5 a.m. at LIV Nightclub, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; www.wantickets.com; $30-$40.

Tritonal at Wall at the W Hotel
DJ duo from Austin, Texas, consisting of Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, spins a dark yet euphoric mix of techno, electro and trance, which has won them a far-reaching fan base who call themselves “Tritonians.” They take the stage in support of their upcoming EP “Metamorphic 111,” the final installment of a trilogy.
11 p.m.-4 a.m. at Wall at the W Hotel, 2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; www.wantickets.com; $30-$50.
