America's love affair with wine shows no signs of wavering. In the state of Florida, wine consumption is upward of 15 liters per capita. From Sept. 14-16, anyone who is anyone in the U.S. wine scene will be at the Miami Beach Convention Center for the 10th annual Miami International Wine Fair. The expo attracts nearly 300 wineries from 16 countries, offering a daunting selection of around 1,200 different wines to sample.
Luckily, one needn't be a sommelier to enjoy this event as Saturday's Grand Tasting event is open to both industry professionals and regular old wine lovers, also a limited number of seminars will be open to the general public.
The annual show, founded in 2001 by wine importer Mr. David Bernad and events expert Mr. Jose B. Besada, has grown 400% to become the leading wine trade show in the country.
