EAST, Miami hotel, set to open as part of Phase One of Brickell City Centre, released its first design renderings. The Swire Properties Inc. $1.05 billion, LEED-registered for Neighborhood Development project encompasses 5.4 million-square-feet of mixed-use space in downtown Miami, which will include a luxury shopping center, two residential towers, a wellness center, and office building in addition to EAST, Miami, all slated for completion by the end of 2015.
The lifestyle hotel designed by award-winning architecture firm Arquitectonica boasts 352 guest rooms (to include eight suites, as well as 89 one, two-, and three-bedroom residences) with interiors by New York-based Clodagh Design. All rooms will feature balconies, contemporary interiors, and floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views of Miami and Biscayne Bay. The residences are designed as long-stay hotel rooms with kitchen, laundry and access to the hotel’s amenities and services.
The highly anticipated Quinto La Huella restaurant specializing in Uruguayan parrilla will be situated on the hotel’s fifth floor with indoor and outdoor seating, a stone hearth oven and a sushi bar, in addition to Sugar rooftop bar designed by Los Angeles-based Studio Collective. Domain will serve as the lobby bar and cafe.
A 20,000-square-foot poolscape is planned, featuring four unique experiences: lap pool, spa pool, cold plunge and hot tub, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center. The Crush ballroom, at 3,400 square-feet with 270 degree ocean and urban views, is planned for the 39th floor in addition to other event and meeting space.
“Brickell is a burgeoning area for young professionals and cosmopolitan tourists alike. Our brand caters to the tech-enabled, modern traveler and EAST, Miami will offer guests advanced amenities and services that suit their needs,” says Brian Williams, Managing Director of Swire Hotels. “Guests will feel energized and comfortable here as we’ve designed this hotel with cutting-edge technology, design, guest room and pool options, and lively restaurants and bars to enhance their lifestyles and travel experiences.”
A second phase of construction will begin on Brickell City Centre in the first quarter of 2016.
