Ever partied at the Rec Room or Regent Cocktail Club, perhaps dined at Dolce Italian? Then you must get to Gale South Beach this weekend and into next week because you’re part of the reason they’re celebrating four years at the swanky hotel. The week-long celebration takes place at all three venues. Here’s what’s going down at 1690 Collins Avenue.
Kick off at Regent Cocktail Club
The doors at the Regent open at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 but you know that’s barely happy hour on South Beach. You have until 10 p.m. to grab a good spot to watch local favorites, Elastic Bond described as “bringing an urban edge with a tropical twist to Miami’s alternative music scene,” play a combination of soul, hip hop, Latin and electronica. No cover.
Late night at the Rec Room
You know nothing ends early on South Beach, so when you’ve caught a set or two by Elastic Bond, make your way to the Rec Room. Doors there open at 11 p.m. for a late night performance by rapper Slick Rick. The Grammy-nominated British-American rapper has plenty of hits to fill several sets including “Ladi dadi,” “Hey Young World” and “Children’s Story.” Hip Hop royalty like Jay-Z, Missy Elliot and Mos Def are just part of Rick’s extensive collaboration list. No cover.
Eat at Dolce Italian
To continue the celebration, Dolce Italian, the elegant Italian restaurant named Bravo’s “Best New Restaurant” last year, has designed an elaborate prix-fixe menu available from Nov. 14-20. Guests will savor signature Dolce Italian classics ranging from handcrafted pastas and pizzas to traditional Italian sweets. With the purchase of the specialty prix-fixe dinner, guests will receive a complimentary Kettle One Cucumber Mule at the adjacent Regent Cocktail Club. Following dinner, Regent Cocktail Club and Rec Room will continue serving an array of cocktails and live music to toast this anniversary in style.
