5 Spa Treatments to Book Before Miami Spa Month is Over

It’s not too late to take advantage of Miami Spa Month discounts, but you need to book your treatment pronto. It’s all over Wednesday August 31, which leaves you exactly one week to indulge at Miami’s most lavish spas for as little as $109. This year, participating spas are offering treatments at a graduated price scale: $109, $139 and $199.

I say skip the $199 options (you can pay two-hundred bucks at the spa any day of the year) and go somewhere with value added amenities that gives you the most bang for your buck.

I’ve done the legwork for you. Read on for my picks on the best spas offering the best treatments during Miami Spa Month.

1. Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau

If you can play hooky on a week day (Monday to Thursday), the 80-minute Hot Stone Therapy Journey ($139) at Lapis Spa (pictured at top) is totally worth your while. There’s something about those extra 30 minutes on the massage table that helps you sink into total relaxation. The 50-minute version is available daily at $109.

The Perks: This is the kind of spa where you want to make a day of it with their marble-laden Water Journey, inlucing mineral baths, massage jet showers, a eucalyptus steam room and marble hammam lounge chairs. You also have access to the Fontainebleau’s gym, swimming pool and beach.

4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-674-4772

2. Tierra Santa Healing House at Faena

If you haven’t been to the over-the-top Faena yet, let the 50-minute Masaje Con Flora Blanca ($109), a relaxing massage using orange blossom extract oil, at Tierra Santa Healing House be the reason.

The Perks: You’ll be asked to arrive an hour early to journey through their Roman-inspired spa chamber (also marble-laden) with a hydrotherapy shower, herbal steam room, sauna, tepidarium and ice room before sprawling out like a noodle on their hammam awaiting your service.

Exclusions: Saturday

3201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 786-655-5570

3. Exhale Spa at EPIC

The great thing about Exhale’s Spa Month offerings is that the services include a bonus of Mind Body classes (Core Fusion and yoga). At $139, you can get a 60-minute deep tissue massage and one month Mind Body class membership.

Pro Tip: Make a day of it with a morning Core Fusion session, afternoon spa therapy and poolside lunch on the 16th floor Area 31 deck.

Pro Tip 2: Ask for Robert for your massage. His hands are magical.

270 Biscayne Blvd. Way, Downtown; 305-423-3900

4. The Spa at Carillon

For something a little different, book the Carillon’s Healing Energy treatment (80 minutes, $139) with Sarah Parienti. Get ready for her to align your energy to your destiny. I had a session with her last summer and she gave me some of the best advice of my life. It’s a slightly ineffable experience (although I wrote about it here) that I think everyone can benefit from.

The Perks: At 70,000-square-feet, The Spa at Carillon is the largest in Miami Beach with a full thermal experience that includes a crystal steam room, experiential rain showers, Finnish sauna, footbaths, an herbal laconium, igloo, indoor Jacuzzi and thermal loungers, as well as access to a rooftop Jacuzzi, swimming pool and fitness offerings.

6801 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 866-276-2226

5. Acqualina Spa by ESPA

This Forbes Five Star Spa offers a luxury experience paired with top-of-the-line skincare brand ESPA. That’s why the 50-minute Skin Radiance Facial at $109 is such a steal.

Pro Tip: Pair a morning spa treatment with an afternoon lunch by their private spa pool and Jacuzzi.

17875 Collins Ave., Sunny Isles Beach; 305-918-6844
