The Original Miami Beach Antique Show
Jan. 30-Feb. 3
Where: Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach
Procure your own piece of history at this show with more than 1,000 antiques dealers peddling their wares. The show also includes seminars, professional appraisals, a charity raffle and a series of informational seminars on antique jewelry.
Miami International Map Fair
Where: HistoryMiami, 101 W. Flagler St., Miami
All routes lead to HistoryMiami, at least for map collectors and hobbyists, during the 21st annual Miami International Map Fair. Check out antique maps, rare books, panoramas and atlases from around the world from map dealers plus learn about cartography at a series of lectures and bring the kids on Saturday for the family-friendly Map-tacular.
Singles for Switchboard Bachelor Auction
Where: Conrad Miami, 1395 Brickell Ave., Miami, Level 3
Single ladies can snag an eligible bachelor like Michael G. of Season 9 of ABC's "The Bachelorette" just in time for Valentine's Day at this event to raise funds for Switchboard of Miami, a non-profit that provides telephone counseling, information, referrals, mental health and crisis intervention services. The auction will not only feature dream dates with the handsome bachelors, but also a variety of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, music and prizes.
Florida Renaissance Festival
Feb. 8-Mar. 16
Where: Quiet Waters Park, 401 S. Powerline Rd., Deerfield Beach
Travel back in time to the days of kings, queens, knights and jesters at this annual festival. Buy goods from artisans, enjoy hundreds of performers at dozens of stages, cheer on the knights as they joust and battle, catch wandering minstrels, magicians and characters entertaining the crowds, and enjoy the medieval-style fun and games throughout the event.

Art Wynwood brings together 70 international galleries presenting emerging, cutting edge, contemporary and modern works. The fair also highlights street art, murals, pop surrealism and other contemporary movements.
Valentine’s Day Events

Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail

Boat lovers will be in paradise at this boat extravaganza that is so big it takes up three locations - two of which are at actual marinas where boats can be boarded and taken out for sea trials. What happens when one of the hottest DJs in the world gets miffed by the Miami's bad-mannered, bottle-popping VIP crowd at one of the hottest nightclubs around? He does a free concert with no VIPs allowed. Coconut Grove Arts Festival

Coconut Grove gets invaded by 360 artists who set up shop along a one-mile stretch to offer fine arts and quality crafts at this festival that draws thousands of locals and tourists in search of unique art work. The event, celebrating its 51st anniversary, also features family fun activities, live music and food from around the world.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
Where: 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
Under the helm of Miami’s own Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey continues to expand the Company’s diverse repertory. The program will include work by dance storyteller Ronald K. Brown, multi award-winning British choreographer Wayne McGregor, and modern dance innovator Bill T. Jones and each program will close with Ailey's masterpiece "Revelations."
South Beach Wine & Food Festival
Where: Various locations in South Beach
South Beach Wine and Food Festival is the ultimate foodie convention featuring a schedule packed with events hosted by Food Network personalities, celebrity chefs, cook book authors and top wine and spirits brands. The event features a Tasting Village, with samples and demos from top chefs from across the nation; The Q, a meat-lover's playground; Wine Spectator Wine Seminars; Splendid Ice Cream and Dessert Party; Burger Bash; wine dinners galore and even fun activities to get the family to eat healthy foods.
