Martini Tuesday served "English" style
Tonight's Martini Tuesday at Plunge atop the Gansevoort is the after party for the screening of "An Englishman in New York".
Forget "Manic Monday," Tuesday is here and martinis are being served.
Martini Tuesday is being held at the Gansevoort Hotel's Plunge Rooftop Lounge located on 2377 Collins Ave. on Miami Beach.The $8 martini of the week is the "Quentin-tini" in honor of Quentin Crisp.
This week's Martini Tuesday is the official after party of the MGLFF (Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival) screening of "An Englishman in New York," staring John Hurt as Crisp and "Sex and The City's" Cynthia Nixon. The movie centers around the later years of Quentin Crisp's life in New York.
"An Englishman in New York" is being shown at the Colony Theater on South Beach at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Tickets are now on sale at www.mglff.com
There will also be a Q&A after the film with David Leddick who had a 20 year friendship with Crisp and who also co-wrote the play "Quentin & I."
Admission to the movie includes one complimentary "Quentin-tini" at Martini Tuesday.
