A luxury hotel arrives in Bal Harbour: St. Regis Bal Harbour

Over-the-top luxury arrives in Bal Harbour this week as the St. Regis Bal Harbour opens its doors Thursday, Jan 19. The three-tower, 243-room hotel promises complete indulgence - think all-ocean views, butler service,  a Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant (J & G Grill), a 14,000-square-foot Remède Spa and 54 private cabanas. Rooms range from 650 to 2,800 square feet (the Presidential Suite) and all include private balconies and ocean views. Two pools (one adults only), a Kids Club and 1,000 feet of oceanfront property standby to entertain - if you can escape the lure of the neighboring shops.

One caveat - expect to pay for your pleasure - discounted opening rates start at $675 per night, regular rates at $850/night.
