Louis Vuitton Monogram Becomes Art Sculpture in Aventura

Seeing art and fashion fused together in Miami is becoming more of a common thing. Just this week, an art installation went up in Aventura Mall featuring the label Louis Vuitton. The artist behind the creation called, A Traveler, is Miami native Hernan Bas.

Bas used Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram canvas and morphed them into bindles. He attached long birch branches to them making them look like authentic traveling bags from yesteryear. In addition to the sculpture, he produced a film featuring a nomadic character roaming through a forest setting. The exhibit is located inside the Louis Vuitton store and is free. It will run till the end of November.
