My original plan was to assemble 10 top 10 lists, but the redundancies quickly made my brain hurt. So instead, dear reader, I've culled the five lists I found most interesting for depth, breath and variety. Each has its own slant (e.g. the New Yorker is smartest, Inside Movies most sophomoric, etc.). While it didn't seem like it at time, looking back, 2009 was a pretty solid year at the cineplex.

Rene Rodriguez, The Miami Herald

Roger Ebert (bonus: he breaks out mainstream from indie flicks)
