Gabrielle Union and LeBron James' mother Gloria spent Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Lucky Strike Lanes on Miami Beach where they watched the Miami Heat game against the Houston Rockets. Not together, though: James' mother was solo and watched the game with her driver while Union was there with family and friends.

One day later, James took his talents to South Beach on Thursday, Dec. 30 in celebration of his 26th birthday with parties at STK and Coco DeVille. Less shocking than the fact that James is only 26 was the guest list: Ne-Yo, Jaleel (Urkel) White, Cedric the Entertainer, Spike Lee, Michael Bay, Drake, Vivica A. Fox, Ciara, Jamie Foxx, Lil' Wayne, Timbaland, Trey Songz, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland, Union and of course Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, who spent some of the night marveling over the sports cars parked out front by party sponsor Lou La Vie, provider of luxe vehicle transportation to VIP types.

After dining together at Zuma last week, actor Frank Langella and Princess Firyal of Jordan had lunch Thursday at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink. Our spies say that the princess has been in before, but not with Langella.

Hall of Fame football legend Jim Brown ate dinner Thursday night with former Mets player Mike Piazza and a group of friends at Prime One Twelve. Also in the house: Foxx and a group of friends. At the star-studded meatery on New Year's Eve: Miami Heat owner Micky Arison and Heat president Pat Riley, and, at separate tables, producer Jerry Bruckhemier, Bay and Miami Dolphins players Ronnie Brown and Brandon Marshall. On New Year's Day, music mogul Clive Davis was at one table, and at another sat Foxx and Ludacris. Most interesting sighting of all was former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in town to root on her alma mater Stanford in the Orange Bowl on Monday, there Sunday night at a table of seven, including ex-N.Y. Knicks player Greg Anthony.

The ladies of Lil Wayne's Young Money Crew were in Miami, but while Nicki Minaj hosted her All Pink Everything Belvedere Vodka/Moet & Chandon party at Mansion, singer Shanell was partying the night away with actress Meagan Good at Hennessy's New Year's Eve party at Play. Hmmm. Trouble in sisterhood or just double booked?

Speaking of Minaj, who was, says our source, ``rocking a rainbow wig and skin tight leather dress'' at her Mansion New Year's Eve party, she was rushed by hordes of female fans begging her to sign their bosoms, a ritual for which she has become famous. Lil Jon rang in 2011 on the turntables at his Grey Goose Playboy party at Cameo, where he was swarmed by scantily clad ladies, staff dressed like bunnies and hundreds of fans to whom the rapper raised his pimp cup as 2010 gave way to '11.

A little nostalgia spotted at Drake's New Year's Eve soiree at the W South Beach in the form of '90s R&B super group Bell, Biv DeVoe: Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe, who performed their hit Poison for the packed crowd at Skybar at Shore Club.

In for dinner New Year's Day at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink: author Malcolm Gladwell.

Seen watching a performance by hip-hop artist Black Thought on Sunday night at The Florida Room: Entourage star Adrian Grenier and his band The Honey Brothers.
