Kyung Ju Restaurant

Dining at this Korean restaurant is no passive experience. You cook cooking marinated meats or seafood over a mini-grill, then create your own sandwiches from lettuce, meats, bean paste and Korean pickles. Favorites menu items include the spicy kimchi and short ribs. All dishes come accompanied with an armada of small sides, known as panchan. These sides, which range from pickles to spice pastes to, well, pickles again, are meant to be shared.

This isn’t a fancy spot, but barbecue will still cost between $16-$22 per plate. Note to the budget minded: Bring friends, because the larger your party, the better the deal.
