Kelly Wearstler Talks Miami

Designer darling Kelly Wearstler creates everything from accessories to clothing to furniture. Yes, the California native’s resume is quite impressive and to top it off she’s been blessed with model good looks and has a gift for dressing stylishly 24-7. At least Vogue think so and nominated her as best dressed. Wearstler popped by Miami to promote her new home collection at Merrick Park's Neiman Marcus and we caught up with the bombshell to talk shopping, future goals and what she loves about South Florida.

What do you like about Miami? Everything. The people, the beaches, the culture, the architecture, the artists. It's such an inspiring place to be.

Where do you like to shop in Miami? I love the vintage shops. Gustavo Oliveri, Michael Contessa, and Stripe.

Your flagship store is in LA. Are there plans to open a shop in Miami? I would love to eventually. Right now, we are all about Neiman Marcus.

How is the new collection at Neiman Marcus in Coral Gables?  There will be lots of color in this collection, there are also many unexpected prints. I really love the way the pieces mix together.

You were nominated by Vogue as best dressed. What does it take in your opinion to get such a nomination?  I think you have to be fearless when dressing yourself. Wear what makes you happy.

Top 5 spring essentials everyone should invest in? I'd say a great pair of jeans, a fab colored leather jacket, a great Tshirt that goes with all your favorite pieces, a pencil skirt, and a sick piece of jewelry.

Future goals? Some QT with all my boys.
