The dining fun continues this month as four new restaurants open their doors…

  • Midtown gets another causal dining option as Sweet Times Gourmet & Café opens its doors for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The café focuses on organic homemade cuisine and fresh produce – think European-style sandwiches, salads, sushi and homemade desserts.
  • Spanish fusion meets the nightlife at Morena. Opening in the former Macarena space, the restaurant will dish out tapas & larger plates till midnight then transform into a live music venue from 12:30-5am. Menu highlights include small plates of grilled octopus, chorizo & garbanzo beans and garlic shrimp and larger plates including an 8oz prime filet and herb-crusted salmon. Extra bonus, now through Feb 28 the restauant is running a “name your price” special - mention ot when you make a reservation & you’ll earn the right to choose the price you think you should pay for your entrée.
  • 600 at the Anglers enters the fab world of al fresco dining as it opens an outdoor café along Washington Avenue. Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli is launching a new menu featuring the likes of crispy braised pork belly, frito misto and twelve-hour braised short ribs.
  • Bonus preview - ALTAMARE, meaning high seas, is scheduled to open its doors in early February. The larger space will be the next generation of longtime Lincoln Road classic AltaMar (which will close the day ALTAMARE opens). New executive chef Simon Stojanovic (Michael’s Genuine, Nemo, the Setai) is retaining the seafood focus with an emphasis on locally caught seafood. Highlights include Spanish mackerel crudo, pan seared day boat scallops and pan seared local cobia.
