I have been dying to learn how to fry a turkey, so I was really siked when I heard about the fried turkey demonstration taking place this Saturday at Aventura’s Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club. The turkey fry experience is preceded by a chaperoned tour of the on-premise herb and tropical fruit tree garden courtesy of Resort Chef--Daniel Buss. I just love it when posh meets Popeye’s. See you there.

Whether you’re a snowbird gone flamingo or you’re a local whose St. Tropez expense account is a little dried up, this guide will navigate you through hotel rates, amenities and the best of Miami’s sanctuaries this holiday season.

So you’re lying low this weekend? I hear yah. Save your loot for MOD SHOP—a shopping experience where you get discounts on fall looks by bourgeoning designers and local boutiques like Kane & Couture, Dimpled, Electric Couture & Electric Boutique, DEMI by Desi, and Fashion District. It takes place at the Gansevoort South Beach this Wednesday evening, and I also hear they’ll be photographers doing an impromptu photo shoot at Plunge Pool. Maybe, you’ll get discovered (wink).

Sure, you love Miami’s gorgeous waves, but what you really love is people-watching poolside with a cute cocktail accessorizing your gorgeous bod. Well, Blade Pool Saturdays kicks-off this weekend at the Fontainebleau where guests and locals can pose, pose, pose at the hotel’s chic pool area that will be jeweled with private cabanas. From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., you’ll enjoy complimentary libation sponsored by Red Bull and Stoli Vodka. DJ Nando and DJ Soulman will be spinning. And so will you.

Never thought getting a buzz could benefit someone else? From November 1st to December 1st, Area 31 is giving you a chance to do something productive with that Belvedere expense account. When you purchase one of Mixologist Jacques Bezuidenhout’s cocktails ($9), one dollar will be donated to Care Resource, one of the most reputable HIV/AIDS service organizations in
South Florida. From Bad Apple to Morning Daiquiri, your hangover may be someone else's do-over.
You’re a grown ass man (or woman). You don’t do Mansion. You’ve outgrown booty-shaking and chasing celebrities. You just want to chill, make a few contacts, listen to some good music, and go home (alone). First Fridays Florida is a networking shindig with Caribbean flair--Reggae, Soca R & B on the DJ set. It’s $15 before midnight, $20 after midnight, but ladies get in free before 11 p.m. With sponsors like Hot 105 and Smirnoff, you may see just a little booty-shaking (But, that’s okay).

You always knew there was a connection between diamonds and wine, right? Well, tomorrow, Diamond Professional Christina Termine will be discussing the four C’s of diamonds while Azul Sommelier Cynthia Betancourt escorts you through food and wine pairings featuring Schramsberg sparkling wine. Located in one of the city’s most opulent hotels, what a perfect engagement gift (hint to all the clueless fiancés).

So, you love the Giants (secretly). Or maybe, you just love watching a squadron of firm derrieres scatter hastily across the field. Whatever your football fetish, InterContinental Miami is spicing up the season with its Monday Night Football series. For every touchdown, each guest will be given a scratch-off card hiding one of these glamorous prizes: Super Bowl 2010 tickets, 60 minute-myMassages at mySpa, complimentary meals, beverages and overnight stays at InterContinental Miami.

Since the birth of twin daughters, Tony and Ana have no time for their legendary bedroom romps (Back in college, Ana used to blister my ears with testimonies of Tony’s dexterity). Anyway, Tony called his wife for an all-nighter at an Ali Baba-esque motel on Biscayne Boulevard, but Ana wasn’t impressed. “We can afford The Delano!,” she shrieked. Yes, they can, but I
thought it was a sexy twist to the typical, monotonous, married couple interlude...
