Rod Stewart took the stage Sunday night crooning songs from The Great Ameri- can Songbook V at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The 65-year-old was in good spirits -- maybe because the Brit is expecting a baby in February with wife Penny Lancaster, 39. The Maggie May singer owns a $22.7 million beach- front mansion just south of Mar-a-Lago.
The $7 million performing arts center will open its doors Oct. 23 with a performance by two-time Tony Award- winner Patti LuPone. Want to check it yourself? The center is hosting free backstage tours Sunday between noon and 4 p.m. 3385 NE 188th Street in Aventura.
