Latin pop star Ricky Martin, who just won two Latin Grammys, says Miami is “absolutely” his second home after his native Puerto Rico. After all, he's kept a house here for a decade. So what does he think of his second city?

What do you love about Miami?

"Miami is like a magnet. It could be the weather, or because it’s very multicultural. For some reason people come to Miami and feel at home immediately and that’s a beautiful thing. There’s a lot of music in my city."

So do you think of Miami as your city?

"Definitely. It’s been 10 years, probably the 10 most important years of my life. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I’m the only one in my family who lives in the U.S. (mainland) and it’s Miami."

What’s your least favorite thing about Miami? Andy Garcia said traffic.

"No, LA is crazy when it comes to traffic and forget about NY. It’s gonna sound shallow but Miami would be so beautiful if it snowed. But it doesn’t. Even our quote unquote winter days are like 55 degrees."

What’s your favorite place/restaurant?

"For restaurants I love Bond Street. I love the food there. It’s loungey but it’s still quiet. It’s a great spot. Or when I’m in the middle of the bay in a little boat and I can see downtown and the beach and feel that silence."
