Hialeah Park Casino celebrates one year with busy weekend
From sangria and mojito's to a classic car show, the three-day celebration is packed
Hialeah Park Casino will celebrate its one-year anniversary with three days of events starting Friday, Aug. 15.
The celebration starts with the TGIF Havana Café Happy Hour on Friday from 6-9 p.m., featuring mojitos, a sangria bar, and appearances by WIOD radio personality Rick Sanchez and Duo Café. Later that night DJ Salin will continue the celebration when he hosts a party at Flamingo Lounge from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
On Saturday, Aug. 16, Cortadito will provide live entertainment in the Havana Café from 6-9 p.m., there will be a Paella Party on the Fountain Terrace starting at 7 p.m., and Larry Lopez will take his turn on the microphone and the turntables in the Flamingo Lounge from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m..
Sunday, Aug. 17 starts early when Miami radio personality La Gatita hosts Ponte En Forma, including Zumba and Salsa classes, on the Fountain Terrace between 9 - 11 a.m. Brunch follows in the Havana Café from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, including an appearance by Norberto and Marisela. Outside on Sunday, classic auto buffs will be able to enjoy an antique car show in the Hialeah Park gardens from noon to 5 p.m. Peter Martin will wrap up activities for the anniversary weekend celebration when he entertains in the Flamingo Lounge between 4 - 8 p.m.
