Gaming Guide - June 09
From horse racing to poker and even dominoes, we have your monthly schedule all set.
By Justin Azpiazu
As outside temperatures rise, poker action is heating up and June is going to be a scorcher with two of Broward County’s large tournament series.
The Hard Rock’s Summer Open Series and Pompano Park’s Florida State Poker Championships offer players a chance to make a big pay day in over 10 events. Both tournaments offer large buy in main events, each with a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Towards the end of the month Miami Jai-Alai offers one of the more unique gambling experiences in Miami, with its domino tournament. Every month or so players from across South Florida gather at Miami’s oldest fronton to pin their wits against some of the best domino players in the area. Teams of two compete against other teams in hopes of being the last pair standing and winning a hefty first place prize.
For racing fans our calendar points out several places where you could get your money on live and simulcast racing action.
Good luck!
