Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the first annual Gables Hispanic Cultural Festival, hosted by the Gables Hispanic Cultural Foundation, Inc. The festival, which serves as the kick-off to Miami-Dade County’s month long celebrations of Hispanic Heritage, will feature music, dance, food and arts from diverse countries.

Don't want to fight the crowds? The event will also feature the Smokin’ in the Gables VIP Lounge with 30 top cigar manufacturers showcasing their products, exclusive cocktails and open bar by Bacardi® and air conditioning. The Lounge will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the festival. Tickets for the VIP Lounge are $200.

Stages will be located at Le Jeune Rd. & Biltmore Way and inside the VIP Lounge, with a diverse line up of entertainment including the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders,  Cuban son jam band Conjunto Progreso, French Canadian singer Daniel Bouche, Folklorica Alturas de Chile and many others.

This free festival promises a fun-filled day for the entire family featuring arts & crafts and music, a children’s play pavilion with bounce houses, face painters and a range of activities, consulates representing diverse countries, Guayaberas and culinary artists showcasing the unique flavors of the Hispanic culture.

The festival will pay a special tribute to one of Cuba’s greatest artists, the late master Cundo Bermúdez, with the exhibition Madria Tiri, 2005 at Coral Gables City Hall. The exhibition will honor the artist's abundant career and his contribution to modern art. The Madria Tiri will also serve as the official poster of the Inaugural Gables Hispanic Cultural Festival 2010.
