The future of ‘Glee’

Looks like somebody is coming back to New Directions.

Looks like somebody is coming back to New Directions.

Chris Colfer, who plays the sweet and sensitive Kurt on Glee, revealed he was “excited to be back” filming with his costars. The show’s creator Ryan Murphy said Kurt’s boyfriend Blaine (played by Darren Criss) might also be heading to McKinley High.

“As long as these two are a couple, they’ll continue to mix worlds [between New Directions and the Warblers] until Season 3, where I think Blaine might have to try out for New Directions.”

Murphy also said that Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Chenoweth will be back and the Quinn-Finn-Rachel love triangle will continue to be a major theme through the end of the Season 2. Next season, in addition to an episode inspired by Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, the show’s creators would like to do an episode in which the cast sings every line of dialogue. Also in the works: a tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.

Moving on?

That was fast. Ashley Greene, who just broke up with Joe Jonas, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill.

The pair were spotted together on Monday at NYC’s Avenue nightclub. Sources told People.com they left the club separately around 4 a.m. and then later met back at her Big Apple pad.

‘Idol’ news

The judges said goodbye to Karen Rodriguez on Thursday’s show. Although her performance of Taylor Dane’s Love Will Lead You Back was called weak, Rodriguez’s elimination came as a surprise to many. Fans say Naima Adedapo or Haley Reinhart (who were in the bottom three alongside Rodriguez) were better picks to leave the show.

They wear it well

Fashionistas Lady Gaga and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are among those up for Council of Fashion Designers of America 2011 Fashion Awards.

People.com reports that The Icon Award will to be presented to Lady Gaga for her role as a “fashion revolutionary impacting style today.” And the Olsen twins — who own their own clothing label, The Row — are nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear.

Other award nominees include fashion designers Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs and Jason Wu. Winners will be announced at the annual CFDA gala, which takes place in June.
