The turkey is eaten, the family is still in town, and we’re all wondering what we can do for fun this weekend without dipping too far into our holiday shopping budget.

We suggest music, music, music, in all styles. You might want to skip shopping on Black Friday and just spend your day and night at free music events. And where else but in Florida can you see an outdoor movie on the beach during Thanksgiving weekend?

Here are Miami on the Cheap’s top picks for free and cheap weekend fun Oct. Nov. 29-Dec. 1.

Acoustic alternative to shopping.
If shopping till you drop is not your idea of fun, spend Black Friday at the Lumpy Sue Acoustic Musicfest, a traditional all-day event celebrating its 22nd year. Lumpy Sue is part of the “Alice’s Restaurant” story and, yes, that song will be performed. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. with open mike performers, and the headliners will take the stage from noon to 5 p.m. Performers include Jim Camacho, the Sarah Jacob Trio, Jam I Am, the Mann Sisters, Omine Eager, Diane Ward and Jack Shawde and Joel Zoss. Bring blankets and chairs. The event is at Greynolds Park. While admission is free, parking is $6 per car or $15 per truck or RV.

Salsa in the street
You can sashay down from Greynolds Park to Little Havana for the monthly free Viernes Culturales/Cultural Friday extravaganza. From 7 to 11 p.m., music, art and more will be on display on Calle Ocho (Southwest Eighth Street) from 13th to 18th avenues. This month’s performers include the South Florida Boys and Girls Choir, the Jorge Canovas Jazz Ensemble, Cuban Fever Band and Alexis y Su Codio Lay. Starting at 7 p.m., you can join a free walking tour of Little Havana led by historian Dr. Paul George. Meet in front of the Tower Theater.

Free Jazz at MOCA
This month’s free Jazz at MOCA is by the Aaron Lebos Reality, a Miami group whose style encompasses jazz, funk, rock, rhythm and blues, Latin and world music. The concert starts at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami. The museum is open free by donation from 7 to 10 pm.

Leap high movie ticket prices in a single bound
Enjoy a free screening of the movie “Man of Steel” at 7 p.m. Saturday night on the beach behind ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa. You can park at the at the municipal lot beneath Haulover bridge. The 2013 adventure film stars Henry Cavill as Superman.

Snow in Miami Lakes
It’s snowing in Miami Lakes during the Winterfest celebration at Miami Lakes United Methodist Church. Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. Friday with a Candy Cane Parade and the lighting of the lights. Winterfest is open through Jan. 1. Special events include choir performances at 7 p.m. Dec. 7, a nativity plan at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 and a craft fair and Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a bonfire at 7 p.m. And the organizers say there will be snow.
