The O, Miami poetry festival continues, with readings, yoga, poetry, karaoke and other literary events nearly every day, most of them free. The Bird Road Art Walk is 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, and the Miami Children’s Museum hosts its regular monthly free Friday evening.
Here are our top picks for free and cheap weekend fun April 18-20.
Big Night in Little Haiti anniversary party
Big Night in Little Haiti, the monthly celebration of music and art, is celebrating its third anniversary Friday. Also performing will be DJA-Rara, a traditional Haitian processional band. The Oscar Thomas Foundation Exhibit will be featured in the gallery, and there will also be children’s arts and crafts and food vendors. Big Night in Little Haiti is 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Little Haiti Cultural Center.

Earth Day free events
What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to spend time with nature? Entry to U.S. national parks is free Saturday and Sunday, and that includes Everglades National Park and Dry Tortugas National Park off Key West.
