Fort Lauderdale's Georgia Pig Bar-B-Que named one of Southern Living's 20 Best Barbecue Joints in the South
5/16/2012
Fort Lauderdale's Georgia Pig Bar-B-Que scores some national recognition this month as Southern Living names it one of "The South’s Best Butt: 20 of the Best Barbecue Joints in the South." The restaurant's co-owner Wayne Anderson was noted for his "oak-smoked meat," "crunchy bits of bark" and "tangy original sauce." Anderson's parents opened the restaurant in Feb 1953 and little has changed since. Georgia Pig was the only Florida restaurant to make it on Southern Living's list. 1285 S State Rd 7, Davie; 954-587-4420
