Sisters Miriam and Alexandra Greemberg know Miami women's style and their love for finding frugal trendy fashion on a budget. That's why the Florida International University graduates decided to team up using their degrees in marketing and public relations to open up a boutique in Aventura called Gg.
"We opened the store to offer our generation the latest trends and timeless pieces at prices they could afford because you can look just as fab without breaking the bank at Bloomingdales," said Alexandra, 24. The sisterly partnership wasn't overnight. Alexandra first worked as a buyer and manager at Rebel boutique while Miriam, 27, opened up a high-end women's shop called So-Mi.
Soon after, the siblings decided to collaborate and focus on offering clothing and accessories ranging from $10 up to $100. The sister's boutique isn't typical. It's housed in warehouse space where the Venezuelan transplants have an office, a space to do photo shoots on their newly arrived merchandise and a stock room. Popular brands at the shop include Ark&Co, Vintage Havana, Flying Monkey, Bradley Meville, Everly, Lush and Blaque Label.
"Our merchandise works for every age and shape," said Alexandra. "We carry day-to-night outfits, cool accessories, and our favorite: cocktail and wedding looks." Nex,t on duos agenda is perfecting their online shop StylebyGg.com. "We know we're living a fast paced life and shopping online is an easier way for our clients to shop Gg," said Miriam.
