Fashion's Night Out - Schedule
A complete schedule breakdown of what is taking place in Miami for the fashion industry's big night on Sept. 10.
Created by Vogue’s Anna Wintour to generate biz and buzz around the slumping retail world, 2010 marks the second Fashion’s Night Out and the novel news is that it's expanding to major cities and 15 other countries.
Here’s the 411 on what to do this Friday, Sept. 10:
- AVENTURA MALL

About 60 designer stores and high-end department stores, such as Nordstrom, are participating; 6 to 9:30 p.m. Check out informal modeling, cocktail receptions, trunk shows and previews, gifts with purchases, styling sessions and shopping. Take in a fashion show in Center Court with the latest in men's and women's fall fashions from J. Lindeberg at 7 p.m. and William Rast at 8 p.m. The first 300 customers to present $100 or more in same-day receipts to the Aventura Mall Concierge Center get a shopping bag with a $10 mall gift card, certificates for valet parking and a glass of champagne at The Grill on the Alley, Grand Lux Cafe or Ocean Prime.
Shoe addicts, meet Steve Madden at Nordstrom from 6 to 10 p.m. at an appearance hosted by MTV personality Julissa Bermudez. Win a signed Michael Bublé suit worn by the singer and a Golden Ticket Fashion Experience prize that includes a $2,500 shopping spree, closet makeover with a Nordstrom personal stylist and a one-year subscription to Vogue. Style mavens are invited to pose with Madden for a free photo while he autographs their free Madden T-shirts and tote bag.

Devotes its FNO activities to benefit the 25th anniversary season of the Miami City Ballet and The The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. Expect cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and even bocce ball! Get 10 percent off purchases at the event with about 10 of the high-end designer shops — from Chanel to Valentino — plus Saks Fifth Avenue participating from 7 to 10 p.m. The Buoniconti Fund will host a spectacular Buy it Now Store featuring sports memorabilia, trips and much more at the ground floor center courtyard.
Saks will features restaurateur-chef Michelle Bernstein and include music by Miami Beach Senior High School Rock Ensemble. Armani national makeup artist Francisco Zacharias and Estee Lauder's global makeup stylist Rick DiCecca offer makeovers plus there will be informal modeling, DJs and 15 percent-off cards for purchases on most merchandise. There will be a cooking demo by Bernstein plus food samples from her restaurants, Michy's and Sra. Martinez, and cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose vodka. Five percent of sales through Sunday will benefit Common Threads, a nonprofit, after-school program aimed at preventing obesity that teaches low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals.

From 6 to 9 p.m., revel in a Moet & Chandon reception, hors d'oeuvres from Morton's The Steakhouse and treats from The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, plus a battle of the DJs contest. Preview the Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show and meet Margarita Zingg and preview her new book, Glamour Para Llevar.

At Neiman Marcus from 7 to 10 p.m., entertainment reporter for CBS 4 Lisa Petrillo plays hostess and emcee at an event that includes a fashion show by designer Kelly Gray of Royal Underground and Motley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. The duo will showcase the latest collection from Royal Underground. You can also meet glass artist Terje Lundaas as he displays his collection recently featured on HGTV's Color Splash. Sip refreshments from Lundaas' ice bar and signature cocktails from The Raleigh Hotel's Martini Bar. Also, strike a pose and drink Bonterra wine at the Ocean Drive Shot on Site Miami Lounge for a chance to be featured in an upcoming issue of Ocean Drive magazine.
