Doma Polo brings sleek Argentine eats to Downtown Miami

The goods: Doma Polo Bistro brings a sleek Argentine steakhouse to the AA Arena neighborhood.

Ambience: The neo-industrial space is awash in equestrian swagger — cattle-brand tables, horse-stall booths, riding crops, helmets and mallets. A chef’s table sits in the middle of the space, and massive metal wine racks line the walls.

The grub: Traditional Argentine. Prices are reasonable: Starters average $12 and mains are in the mid-$20s. Executive chef Luis Garcia oversees a meat-centric, generously portioned menu. Start with a Picada de Parrilla loaded with skirt steak, blood sausage, chorizo, sweetbreads, veal kidneys and empanadas (beef and chicken), or opt for the Locro, a  traditional stew made with pork, beef, grains and squash.

Non-meat options include spinach and three-cheese crepe cannelloni and a pan-seared mahi mahi with pickled beets. Sweeten the meal with desserts like Panqueques de Leche and Sabayon de Fernet, made with cola-soaked ladyfingers.

Verdict: A boisterous, polo-themed Argentine steakhouse.
