Coral Gables’ Por Fin has closed for major renovations, and plans to reopen in the spring with a new look. Restaurant founder Carlos Centurión has hired a New York firm to execute a concept that will include “a central new main bar on our first floor, booth seating throughout the restaurant, communal tables, exposed kitchen seating, private dining rooms and an expanded upstairs exterior patio with sofa seating,” according to a statement. Chef Luis R. Quant will remain with Por Fin, according to a spokesman, but the restaurant’s name will likely change. Patrons are invited to track the renovations at www.porfinrestaurant.com.
