The college kids better clear out because this weekend Coconut Grove is being taken over by artists, who will converge on the bayside city for the annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival to display and sell their wares.

The fair showcases the works of over 360 artists and craftsmen from across the world, plus offers activities like the Culinary Pavilion Showcase, a series of culinary demonstrations throughout the festival; a Kid's Zone for the little ones and live musical entertainment.

It kicks off Saturday, Feb. 18 with the Palette Breakfast, an exclusive breakfast/reception where participants can get a sneak peek at this year's festival offerings, ideal for collectors who want first dibs on artwork. Tickets for that soiree are $100.

There is a line up of live entertainment including local jam band Suenalo and Latin Grammy Award-winning flutist Nestor Torres. Also, the Global Food Village will be serving a wide variety of culinary delights for hungry art lovers in need of nourishment.

The Festival will be held February 18-20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m  Admission is $10 per person per day. Children 12 and under, Metrorail Golden Passport and Patriot Passport holders are free; Residents of Coconut Grove in the 33133 zip code can enjoy the Festival for $5.00 per day (proof of residency required).  For more info visit www.coconutgroveartsfest.com.
