Hakkasan is celebrating the Year of the Dragon with sven days of menu specials from Jan 22-29. The party kicks off with a dragon dance on Sunday, Jan 22 at 9pm. The family-style menu rings in at $128 per person and features pan-fried scallion puffs, braised abalone, crispy fried nut chicken, Chinese long life crispy noodles and drunken prawn fire in clay pot.

The Mandarin Oriental is showcasing a six-week art exhibition by Chinese artist Fung Ming Chip beginning Jan 23; hosting a three-course wine-paired dinner with Fung on Weds, Jan 25 ($75 per person); throwing a beachside party Sat Jan 28 featuring a dragon dance, artistic demos, red & gold lanterns, a live DJ, an open bar and Asian-style food stations ($95 per person in advance, $110 at the door); and offering a celebratory a la carte menu at Cafe Sambal from Jan 23-Feb 5. Available nightly from 5-11pm, the menu features kung pao scallops, char siu pork chop, chicken & shrimp egg rolls and Peking duck.
Philippe is honoring the New Year with dragons, drums & dumplings on Monday, Jan 23. Enjoy complimentary cocktails from 6-7pm, performances beginning at 7pm and a special pre-fixe menu available all evening.
