Tonight, South Florida gamers converge to discuss how they can get a slice of the industry's multi-billion dollar electronic pie.
The video game industry is big business (it rakes in more cash than Hollywood annually), and the organizers of the wonkily named new festival, Animation Digital Arts Media & Electronic Visual Efx – Miami, want South Florida game designers to be in on the action.
Tomorrow night, they’ll hold a group discussion, headlined by Marc Mencher, Chairman of the Board for the South Florida chapter of the International Game Developers Association, about careers in digital media, film (seemingly every major game title has a live-action movie currently in development), military simulation and bio-medical at the Miami Science Museum.
The event is free.
Probably there will be snacks.
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Miami Science Museum, 3280 S Miami Ave., Miami
