Britney Spears: home body?

Britney Spears, a homebody? That’s what she’s telling V magazine.

Britney Spears, a homebody? That’s what she’s telling V magazine.

The newly emerging singer tells the pub that when she’s not in the studio, she’s a full-time mom to sons with ex Kevin Federline, Sean, 5, and Jayden, 4.

So if Spears – who has a new album Femme Fatale – had to chuck everything, she’d probably be in her ktichen whipping up a “mean’’ Southern iced tea.

“I’d miss my fans and all of the love the most, but I definitely would not miss having my picture taken everywhere I go.’’

Be careful what you wish for: Fame is fleeting.

“When I became a mother I wanted more privacy for myself and my children. A life away from my life,’’ said Spears, who turns 30 this year.

Try Purell

It’s pretty appropriate that Hugh Laurie plays a doctor on House. He’s a pretty healthy guy, despite not maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The British actor, 51, told Ellen DeGeneres that he just came down with his first cold.

“I’m excited about it because for so many years I believed that I didn’t get colds because, basically, nothing could live in this body. I was so addled with booze and cigarettes . . . but it appears I have curb appeal after all.’’

I get around

Ryan Gosling’s plate is full.

Star magazine is linking the lanky Blue Valentine star to hottie Olivia Wilde. Laurie’s House costar conveniently just split with her royal hubby Tao Ruspoli.

The tab reports the TRON actress traveled to Kentucky to spend a romantic day with the bachelor, who was recently hanging with Blake Lively and dated his The Notebook costar Rachel McAdams for several years.

How embarrassing

Mariah Carey says she wasn’t unaware that she was booked to perform a concert linked to Gadhafi’s clan, and she’s “embarrassed’’ about it. Carey is among a handful of entertainers who were paid handsome fees to give exclusive private concerts. It was later revealed the people behind those concerts were the family of embattled Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi. Oops. In a statement, the mom-to-be says she was naive about the booking.

Film legend talks

Mickey Rooney shouldn’t be having to deal with stress at age 90, but he told Congress on Wednesday that he was left powerless by a family member who took and misused his money.

“I felt trapped, scared, used and frustrated,’’ Rooney told a special Senate committee considering legislation to stop abuses of senior citizens. “But above all, when a man feels helpless, it’s terrible.’’
