They welcomed their first child, a boy, this past weekend in L.A.

Cruz, 36, denied she was expecting until her bump was too big to ignore while shooting Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides last September, two months after the couple had secretly wed in the Bahamas.

The pair fell in love on the set of 2008's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, for which Cruz, 36, won an Oscar for best supporting actress. But they had been friends since costarring in the 1992 romp Jamon Jamon.

Bardem, 41, will be busy. In between diaper duty, he was just nominated for an Oscar himself, for his role in Biutiful, out Friday.

THE BABY MAKER

is a dad for the eighth time. The former pro boxer, 44, and his wife Lakiha Spicer welcomed a son named Morocco. They also have a young daughter.

The couple wed in June 2009, two weeks after the death of his 4-year-old daughter (with Sol Xochitl) who accidentally got wrapped in a treadmill cord.

Australia's Daily Telegraph reports that audience members saw the 64-year-old tumble face first into the pit. He was knocked unconscious, bleeding from a head wound. Apparently, he misjudged where the edge was. TMZ reports he is in stable condition.

Another troubled sports marriage: Former Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman has separated from his wife of 10 years, Rhonda. The Fox football analyst told the Dallas Morning News that it was ``a difficult decision.''

They have two daughters together.
