7 For All Mankind
1008 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach
The lowdown: Boot-cut, boyfriend, cropped, skinny, wide-leg, high-waist, low-rise, distressed — buying jeans nowadays can be a straight-up daunting experience. Lucky for us, 7 For All Mankind just opened shop on Lincoln Road making denim purchases quick and painless. The Miami Beach door joins its Aventura Mall sister store and sells the label’s collection of denim, sportswear, footwear, eyewear and accessories. Tack on the fact there’s on-site tailoring and appointment shopping and you’re in Seventh Heaven.
The ‘hood: 7 For All Mankind is Lincoln Road’s newest kid on the block. VP of Retail at 7 For All Mankind Aaron Battista says, “We are so excited to be on Lincoln Road! The street offers great retailing, captures the buzz and excitement of South Beach and also attracts an international and local customer.”
The ambience: Warm, clean, casual and modern in every way. “The store serves as a simple, light-filled gallery space that is a blank canvas for showcasing beautiful products as well as housing art, design, installations and events,” Battista says. The 2,200 square foot space uses woods, concrete and steel materials in an intrepid manner. A chill lounge area is ideal for people watching on Miami Beach’s most pedestrian-friendly promenade.
Highlights: Besides boasting the best-fitting jeans on the globe, 7 For All Mankind’s latest collaboration with interior designer Jonathan Adler is in the house. Scoop up Adler’s iconic patterns like bamboo, keyhole and Acapulco prints for fresh summer pieces ($90-$210).
The VP says: “We are the world’s premiere brand of luxury denim-lifestyle products. What makes 7 For All Mankind so unique is our uncompromising focus on fit, fabric and finish — the cornerstones of premium denim. Other brands position themselves as rock and roll, vintage or heritage. We are more sophisticated while maintaining a cool California sensibility. This is the true differentiator for the brand. We have a jean that can be worn during the weekend, but also to work and at night going out. 7 For All Mankind is an attitude, an emotion and an instinct,” Battista adds.
