A few castmates from Showtime's Dexter feted the release Saturday night of the Season 4 DVD.
The actors on the show about a serial- killer cop chatted outside the National Hotel, on a white carpet splattered with blood stains. Ha!
Star Michael C. Hall was a no-show (his lymphoma is in remission), but his "Miami Metro Police Department'' colleagues Lauren Vélez, C.S. Lee and David Zayas led the charge.
Zayas said he feels a kinship with his character, detective Angel Batista.
"Angel is kind of like an average guy that's loyal, [but] he has flaws just like me," he said.
Zayas recently branched out from the small screen, currently starring in The Expendables, as a dictator of a South American country.
"Working with Sylvester Stallone was pretty cool and to share the screen with all of them was very special," said the Puerto Rican native. "A lot of testosterone!''
Vélez, who plays Lt. Maria LaGuerta, has a lot of input as to what goes on with her alter ego.
"I'll read the script and tell them you missed this particular quality about her because you're not taking into account she came from Cuba and all these things," said the Brooklyn native. "There are so many layers to it."
