The food here is firmly rooted in Cuban tradition while encompassing the broad spectrum of Caribbean flavors, served with European charm. It has warmth you only find in a family-run place with simple décor, mostly of paintings of Cuban landscapes and fruit. Start with hot ham or chicken croquettes or smoky grilled shrimp with fried yuca sticks and guacamole on salad greens. Entrees all come with rice and black beans or mashed potatoes -- best are char-grilled chicken stuffed with chorizo in mustard cream sauce, bell peppers stuffed with a mushroom mixture and creamy goat cheese, and pan-seared, coconut-crusted red snapper.
