**Answer to your comment at the end of my review**This store does not like people with disabilities. The woman over there told me that they dont let people with Autism or learning disabilities at the store because they bother customers. My son is 17 years old, he has a Mild Autism, he likes to chat. and HE WAS a customer. but she said that even when I was around, it was like babysitting for her. she did not like that my son spoke with the other customers, when that place is actually to do that, to chat and play. Because the way he speaks and in her words because other people are "normal". Shame on her. Thats discriminating. People with disabilities have the same rights and they are human beings. I think the only abnormal one was her, that does not understand how a person with autism feels when someone heartless than her discriminate them.
ANSWER:***To clarify I was inside the store a few times, second is not bad parenting but that he is a teenager who wants his space, and I have a todler who can not be inside the store for obvios reasons and third, my nickname brujita is actually my email that I have from so many years and is based on a funny story, so therefore the only one with bad manners and heart is who just answered my review. you. Sooo family oriented that I am the only parent who waits in the parking lot, no other parent inside the store, they come and go that is if they actually go, sooo family oriented that kids usually smoke outside your store in front of your door. By the way after talking to you for almost an hour by phone, you did not offer to talk furthermore. dont judge my parenting skills( he is not a little baby anymore, he has the right to become independet as he is becoming an adult in only one year more) judge yourself, not allowing a person with mild autism at your store, shame shame shame on you.... The store is a great family owned store. I am aware of the situation mentioned in the "brujitalee" post. The mother of the child who gave Avalon the crappy rating, refused to come into the store to take responsibility for her children's behavior because she was at McDonalds on one occasion, and "in the parking lot" on the other. It is sad when any parent, ESPECIALLY a parent with disabilities abnegates their responsibility to be with and control their children's behavior. The mother, not the children, was chastised for her behavior in dropping her children off and not staying with them. She NEVER entered the store to talk about it, even at managements request. Sometimes the truth sets you free, sometimes it just makes you look foolish. Check out Yelp http://tinyurl.com/88qadjw for reviews of Avalon by real clients who, unlike "brujitalee" have actually BEEN INSIDE of Avalon to make a sensible review not based on bad parenting ethics. "Brujita?" - fitting screenname for the petty actions taken...... Read more
