I went twice to make sure that I wasn't there on an "off" day. First of all, I noticed stacks of cooked burgers on the side of the grill. There can be no explanation other then they pre-cook them. It was not busy, so they were going to sit around for a while. Second, the buns, although of reasonable quality (they are baked in-house), are "buttered" and toasted en masse. They manage to get the outside of the buns greasy, and considering the taste, it must actually be margarine, or some other butter substitute. The first time I went, I asked for a medium burger, and got a thoroughly brown center. The second time I tried for medium-rare, and got medium. There was an unpleasant greasy taste that stayed with me for an hour. The burger was ready about three minutes after I ordered, which adds to my observations of pre-cooked burgers. Perhaps it is the sitting around, or an unclean grill, that caused the bad aftertaste. The fries were of the factory-cut, frozen variety, served a bit limp.
