Adrian Grenier to hold screening of documentary

Adrian Grenier is returning a big favor. The former Entourage star will present a free screening at 7 p.m. Saturday of his 2010 documentary, Teenage Paparazzo, at YoungArts Foundation’s new headquarters, formerly the Bacardi building. As a teen, the New Yorker got his start at YoungArts, which helps up and comers in the industry with amazing opportunities, scholarships and real-life experiences. Grenier’s film follows his relationship with a then 14-year–old paparazzo (Austin Visschedyk) and looks at the consequences of celebrity obsession. It costars such ever-ending flashbulb targets as Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion. If you can’t make it (seating is limited), Teenage Paparazzo will be on view in the YoungArts Gallery Wednesday through Monday. The visit marks Grenier’s first time to Art Basel. “I’m really excited to be part of the hoopla,” said the New Mexico native, who is inspired by directors Orson Welles and Werner Herzog. “I also want to use this film as an educational tool, to put a perspective on expression.”
