I'll first mention that the restaurant is beautifully decorated & the seating area is distrubuted well allowing a little more than the average "elbow room" at most restaurants now a days. The menu is easy to understand & uncluttered although I found the prices unreasonable for the portions of food received. I'm not a cheapo by any means but Abokado has obviously pushed the envelope with the pricing. The owner/conglomerate must be quite anxious to pay off the expensive decor & unnecessary presence of HD flat screen TV's. I will, with pleasure say that everything I consumed was flavorful & colorfully presented as is an oxymoron for upscale Japanese cuisine. I found the sushi rolls way too small & lacking the explosion of flavors from the minute presence of fish within the rolls. I sampled the "Diablo Roll" & was pleasantly surprised at its robust flavor although for the price tag of $18, not a crowd pleaser. Overall, the service was satisfactory, as nothing about our server stands out as above average. Overall, it was a tolerable experience but couldn't wait to get home & raid the fridge for leftovers as my wallet was sore from the C-Note I dropped at the place. I can say with a monumental level of certainty that I will not be back as I can eat better sushi for half the price three blocks away from my home. Sorry ABOKADO!!... Read more
